Also known as Bata Dandu Kanda and Riverstone Durgaya, the Riverstone Gap is a popular trekking destination in Sri Lanka.
The trail

Though there is no actual path or trail that goes up the Riverstone Gap, there is a tiny road that takes you to the telecommunication towers that are at the peak of the mountain.
When to go

Early morning treks are the best, as the air is fresh, with the frequent breeze chilling you to the bone while you make your way up with the songs of the birds following you closely. Also, mornings are ideal as the sunshine can be pretty harsh during the afternoons.
Location

A hotel in Kandy will be able to help you out with the directions, and if you are staying at a place like Kings Pavilion Kandy, the trek is not too far from your place of dwelling.
The view

The Knuckles Mountain Range is a common view from any peak in the vicinity, and the Riverstone Gap is no different. Once you reach the top, you will be looking over lush green forests, cloudy skies, and misty hills, with the Knuckles Mountain Range being the backdrop to this all.
