If you’ve decided to enjoy a vacation in the city of Pattaya on the eastern coast of Thailand, there’s no reason why you should stick to on-land adventures. With several islands located near the coastline, you’ll have plenty of opportunity for some island hopping adventures. If you do decide to go beyond the shores, here are some of the best islands near Pattaya that you can visit.
Coral Island
Known locally as Koh Larn, this is the largest inhabited island near Pattaya and features a local village and several beaches including Naul, Tonglang, Tayaiy and The Samae. If you are staying at the Avani Pattaya Resort you can organise a trip to the island via speedboat.

Koh Sak
This uniquely shaped island features two beautiful beaches on both sides which are connected by a single path that runs through the middle of the island. The northern beach is great for sunbathing and diving because of its nearby coral reefs.
Koh Krok
This is one of the smallest islands at just 100 metres in length. However, it has a fantastic sandy beach on the eastern coast with surrounding corals that make it a paradise for snorkellers and divers. Its beach also has opportunities for dining, sun loungers, banana boats and jet skis.
Koh Si Chang
This island is one of the closest to Bangkok and is easily accessible from any resort in Pattaya, Thailand. It features a popular stretch of sand called Haad Tham Phang and is frequented by swimmers and kayaking enthusiasts. It also has several Buddhist temples and pagodas including the Wat Tham Chakrabongse with its eye-catching Yellow Buddha.
