About
Being the second oldest zoo in Australia after the Melbourne Zoo, the Adelaide zoo is undoubtedly an iconic attraction set in a relaxing green city. It features more than 2500 animals and 250 species of mammals, reptiles, birds, and fish native to Australia. The zoo covers a total land area of 8 hectares. It not only focuses on protecting animals but there is a separate compartment for flora and fauna. Since its inception in 1883, it retains its popularity as “Australian Home for Pandas”.
Animal Experiences
The magnificent surroundings of the zoo provide natural habitats to all kinds of birds, mammals, reptiles, and fish. You’ll spot animals from all corners of the world including Asia, Africa, Australia, Middle East and more. All the animal lovers will get the chance to hand-feed the giant pandas, feed the squirrel monkeys and even help the animals with their daily mouth-check. You can also enjoy a camping night inside the zoo to experience an amazing wildlife experience.
