Planning Your Visit
Located approximately 200 km northeast of Bangkok, Khao Yai National Park is easily accessible. Consider finding Khaoyai accommodation near the park to maximise your time on safaris and treks. Ideal options include Lacol Khaoyai which is within easy reach of other key local attractions too. Keep in mind that the park is open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and remember to wear comfortable clothing that covers your arms and legs as well as sturdy shoes; also, bring along sunscreen and a reusable water bottle.
Discover a World of Wildlife
Khao Yai National Park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, boasting a wide range of flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for mammals like the Asian elephant, Asian black bear, sambar deer, and pileated gibbon. Birdwatchers will be delighted by the park’s diverse avian population, including the great hornbill, banded kingfisher, and green magpie.
