Planning Your Visit
SpeedBay can be found within the sprawling Pearl Bay waterpark with plenty of fun slides and other attractions. It is located in Bandaragama, close to the Gelanigama Highway Exit and within easy reach of hotels in Wadduwa, Sri Lanka including beachside properties like The Blue Water Hotel and Spa. While you can purchase tickets at the park, to avoid long waits, pre-purchase them online.
What to Expect
Get ready to feel the thrill of SpeedBay’s FIA-CIK-certified karting track, the only one of its kind in Sri Lanka. There are a variety of karts for different age categories ranging from the Cadet Kart for kids aged 8 to 12, reaching up to 60 km/h, to the Birel Kart for those 13 and above, with speeds up to 75 km/h. You can challenge your family or friends, or simply enjoy a leisurely drive around the track!
Three Track Layouts
There are three track layouts here to suit varying skill levels. The South Circuit encompasses around 537 metres with eight corners to navigate, while the North Circuit offers a longer 717-metre track with 11 corners. For the ultimate challenge, take on the International Circuit, which spans 1,216 metres and features 18 corners to manoeuvre as you race towards victory!
Things to Keep in Mind
Wear comfy attire including fitting pants, t-shirts and tops as well as closed-toe shoes. Avoid non-fitting clothing that is too baggy and sandals or slippers.
