Visitors are treated to a selection of architectural gems and offered the opportunity to discover the country’s rich cultural heritage. It’s a place that keeps tradition, history, and culture alive.
History
As far as history goes, Namsangol Hanok Village isn’t old. In fact, it was established in 1998 to recreate a traditional village from the Joseon Dynasty. The goal is to preserve the architecture and customs of that era. Although the village was artificially created, five hanoks were moved to the village from different parts of the city to give it a touch of authenticity.
