Also known as the Secret Garden of Koh Samui, this place provides a magical experience for all kinds of travellers.
About the garden
Built by a local farmer who specialises in producing fruits, this garden had its work begun in the year 1976. The farmer was about 76 years old then. Of all the exciting things to do in Samui, this will definitely top the list. His hard work has paid off to give the utmost gift of nature to all travellers in this area.
Inside the garden
Walking inside the garden, your eyes will be met by gorgeously landscaped sceneries which have trees and flowers that belong to Thailand and South Asia. Among these plants, you will also find many tiny Buddha statues hidden. Each of these arrangements tells a story and has history attached to it.
How to get there
If you are staying at Avani+ Samui Resort, for instance, you can get the help of your hotel and arrange for a tour to get to the secret garden. The place can be accessed only by passing through a forest, a few waterbodies and mountains. Walking is out of the question, and any vehicle but a 4×4 will not help you at all.
Tips to remember
While you travel to the garden, you will notice many trails that take you through the forest and mountains, but it is better to stick to the main roads provided. The view from these roads is thrilling enough, with steep turns that have a drop-down to almost 100 metres.
