If you’re looking for an island getaway in the UAE, there’s no better place to visit than Saadiyat Island. Known for being a serene paradise that blends culture and leisure, there’s plenty to enjoy from monuments and museums to calm beaches and pockets of green spaces. If you are planning a visit to Saadiyat Island, here’s all you need to know to make the most of your adventure.

Climate
Despite the generally hot climate of the region, Saadiyat Island receives the cooling sea breeze and the moderate temperatures of the sea due to its location near the Arabian Gulf. As with the rest of the country, summer falls between June and August, while winter lasts from December to February.
Best Time to Visit
Ideally, you’d want to visit Saadiyat Island from October to April as these months usually have cooler temperatures which are perfect for venturing outdoors to explore the island’s attractions. It is best to avoid the winter months as they have frequent rainfall that prohibits outdoor adventures.
How to Reach the Island
Saadiyat Island is fairly easy to reach from the mainland of Abu Dhabi and different parts of the UAE. It is located 500 metres from the Abu Dhabi coast and is 20 minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport. If you don’t plan to stay on the island, it’s still quite accessible from any of the serviced apartments in Abu Dhabi, such as the luxurious Oaks Liwa Executive Suites.
Places and Sites to Visit
There are several sites and attractions to enjoy on Saadiyat Island. These include cultural sites like The Louvre Abu Dhabi, The Abrahamic Family House and Manarat Al Saadiyat. You can also relax at the island’s beaches – Kai Beach and SAL Beach.
